Funeral services for Charles Tebele, 69, will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Agudath Achim Cemetery at the corner of Walnut and Yale in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Rabbi David Laor.
Charles was born on November 26, 1954 in Norfolk, Virginia to Isaac and Sara Tebele and passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Charles worked in the family business, Paradise Gift Shop, with his father for many years. He subsequently opened his own business, Trade Winds Gift Shop on Texas Street. He then became a courtesy clerk at Kroger for 29 years. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and listening to music, especially music by The Beatles and Elvis Presley. His memory will be cherished by friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Isaac Tebele and brother, Joseph Tebele. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Sara Tebele; sisters, Mati Tebele Lahasky and husband, Robert of New Iberia, Louisiana and Molly Tebele Fitzpatrick and husband, Gary of Grand Junction, Colorado; nephews, Jeffrey Morris Lahasky and wife, Kay, Evan Joseph Fitzpatrick and wife, Aneri and Alan James Fitzpatrick and wife, Mackenzie; niece, Rebecca Lahasky Teakell and husband, JR; great-nephews, Isaac and Asher and great-nieces, Eliana, Claire and Wren.
Honoring Charles as pallbearers will be Jeffrey Morris Lahasky, Alan James Fitzpatrick, Evan Joseph Fitzpatrick, Larry D. Anderson and Eric K. Webb.
The family suggests memorials may be made to Agudath Achim Synagogue, 9401 Village Green Dr., Shreveport, LA 71115.
