Charles Tharp Sr.
Charles Dudley Tharp Sr. Age 65, of Richland Springs, Tx. passed away peacefully in his sleep. A graveside service for Charles will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2025 at Varga Chappel Cemetery and will be officiated by Pastor Tom Brand. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba.
Charles Tharp was born in Austin, Texas February 2nd, 1960, to Walter Dudley Tharp and Linda Marie Tharp. He was a graduate of Dripping Springs High School.
Charles worked in construction for most of his adult life. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, fixing things, and his grandkids. He loved watching them play sports, talking about them, and showing off their pictures to everyone. Charles was a wild hair and could always put out good lyrics. He could start up a conversation with just about anyone. Charles was a hard worker and though his body slowed down he never did. Charles would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He had a big heart, and he had a way of always showing up.
Charles is survived by 2 brothers William Tharp spouse Hope Tharp and children Brittney and Ryan, Steven Tharp spouse Kim Tharp children Brandon and Sierra. Three Children Son Charlie Tharp and spouse Shelly Tharp children Cohen, Hudson, and Mia. Son Jason Tharp and spouse Cheryl Tharp children Avery, Luke, Kaitlin, Michael, Karlee and Cole. Daughter Cheyenne Wiley and spouse Dusty Wiley children Ryder, Scarlett, and Adelynn.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents Walter Dudley Tharp and Linda Marie Tharp and his son Joseph Lee Tharp.
