Randy was born on May 16, 1960 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Oliver Dee Thorne and Baby Raye Thorne and passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 10, 2024 after a brief illness in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Randy grew up in Bossier City, Louisiana and graduated from Airline High School. He was a member of the Bossier Church of Christ for over 26 years. Randy worked for most of his career in oilfield supply sales where he made many long-lasting friendships. In 1997, he married the love of his life, Jean Thomas Thorne. He loved taking Hudson and ChaseAnn fishing and to Destin, Florida every year for their family vacation.
