Charles "Chuck" Tice, 72, of Sturgeon Bay passed away unexpectedly and suddenly on October 7, 2023. He was born in Sturgeon Bay on April 14, 1951, to Robert and Dorothy (Wnuk) Tice and was married to Jean Schack on September 8, 1973, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay.
Chuck was a carpenter all of his life. He worked at Bay Ship, and then opened up Tice Cabinet and Carpentry. He was an outdoorsman and loved shooting trap, hunting, landscaping, and gardening as well as spending time at his cabin in Pembine. Chuck served on the Sevastopol Town Board for many years and was known to be a perfectionist in everything he did. His attitude was, "if you wanted it done right; you should do it yourself."
Chuck will be dearly missed by his wife Jean; 4 brothers Larry (Diane) Tice, Tom (Nancy) Tice, Bob (Gail) Tice, and Jon (Laura) Tice; 1 sister Betty (Scott) Rockendorf; sister-in-law Jill (Ken) Sternard. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Judy Kannenberg and his infant brother.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Rev. Joel Sauer officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of service. The family wishes that instead of sending flowers, please plant a tree in Chuck's memory. Forbes Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be offered at forbesfuneralhome.com
