Charles Tuorila Obituary
Charles “Charlie” Roland Tuorila, age 74, of Sebeka, MN passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025 at Providence Villa Assisted living in Sebeka. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24 at the Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka, Minnesota from 4:00pm-7:00pm, with service on Saturday, January 25th, at 11am. After services, all are welcome for a Celebration of Life at the Sebeka Municipal Liquor Store. A weblink will be provided for those who cannot attend in person. Wevley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Charlie was born on February 6, 1950, in Wesley Hospital, Wadena, MN to Eino and Hazel (Hotakainen) Tuorila. He graduated from Sebeka Public School in 1968. Charlie was the crew leader of the newly formed Sentenced-to-Serve (STS) group for Todd-Wadena County Corrections for 26 years.
Proceeding Charlie in death are his parents, Eino and Hazel; sisters, Arlene and Annette (Loren) Haedtke, brothers, Kenny, Marvin, Raymond, Roger, Michael; brother-in-law, Roland Savela.
His memory will continue to live on through his sons, Ryan (Katie) and Delroy (Crystal Kempf) Tuorila; his three grandchildren, Alex, Riddick Tuorila and Avery Kempf; his former wife, Maxine West; sisters, Shirley Savela and Carole Jean (Debbie) Tuorila; sisters-in-law, Carol Tuorila, Pat Tuorila, Julie Tuorila, Nancy Tuorila, Vickie Tuorila; and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.
