Charles A. Turek

Charles A. Turek, a respected member of the Laingsburg community, passed away at the age of 72 on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing, Michigan. In accordance with his wishes a private interment will take place at a later date at Laingsburg Cemetery.
Born on May 7, 1953, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Marshall and Ruth (Pfrunder) Turek. Chuck's early years were spent in Saginaw, but he soon became a lifelong resident of Laingsburg, where he graduated from Laingsburg High School, Class of 1972. Post-graduation, he dedicated many years of service to General Motors, working in various capacities. His commitment and work ethic were evident to all who worked alongside him, and he excelled in each role he overtook.
Outside of his professional life, Chuck was a man of many interests, but none so important as the time he spent with his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, and husband. Charles is now reunited with the love of his life and best friend, Jackie, who predeceased him two years prior. Theirs was a partnership built on mutual respect, deep affection, and unwavering support.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Jerica L. Turek-Johnson, and her husband, Jim A. Johnson, of Chicago, Illinois; his son, Benjamin C. Turek, his fiancée, Amanda Smith, and his grandsons, Jackson W. Turek and Wyatt B. Turek of Laingsburg, Michigan. His family was his pride and joy, and he instilled in them the values of kindness and generosity that he so perfectly exemplified. Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jaclyn M. (Hodges) Turek, and his daughter-in-law, Annette M. (Morris) Turek, both of Laingsburg, Michigan.
Chuck's impact on his community extended beyond his immediate family and he was well loved by many.
