Sandra Faye Taylor, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, in St. Johns, Michigan.
Born on April 16, 1945, in Owosso, Michigan, to Ellis and Frances (Serr) Bolter, Sandra was one of four children and spent her formative years alongside her siblings, Carlyle, Cathy, and Rick, sharing in the joys and challenges of family life.
In 1963 Sandra's life took a joyous turn when she married her lifemate, Richard Taylor, and also graduated from Ovid High School. Their love was deep and lasting, building a life filled with adventure, and an unwavering commitment to one another.
Sandra's legacy will be carried on by her devoted husband, Richard; their children, Richard (Sallie) Taylor, Jr., Diana (Shelly Sylvester) Taylor, Deborah Brya, and Scott (Rachelle Winans) Taylor. She will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren,
Heather (Larry), Amiee (Alex), Matthew (Tony), Joe (Meghan), Bradley (Nicole), Alex (Heather), Dakota, Mark Jr (Alexys), Jacob (Marissa), Jessica (Logan), Lukas, and Victoria; her great-grandchildren, Derrick (Jessica), Lauren, Maddie, Cohen, Karmello, Kamron, Conner, Jase, Alicia, Olivia, Kingston, Kaden, Kynlie, and Weston; her great-great-grandchildren, Evelynn, River, Georgia; her brother, Rick Bolter; all the Taylor family and numerous friends that she has met along the way.
Throughout her life, Sandra's true joy was in the moments spent selecting the perfect card, writing a thoughtful note, and making sure it arrived just in time to celebrate another's milestone for those she cared most about. Sandra spent countless hours raising, photographing, videotaping and sharing in all the wonders of nature. Especially the living creatures she encountered along the way.
Sandra's interests took her and Richard on travels from the sunny shores of Florida to the grand deserts of Arizona. Yet, she always knew that home was on their organic farm in Elsie, Michigan where they raised all four of their children.
Sandra was preceded in death by her son-in-law Brent; her parents; sister, Cathy; brother, Carlyle "Butch"; sister-in-law's Elizabeth and Kaelyn; and nephew, Charles "Chuck", Sandra's memory will be honored by all who loved her.
If you would like to do something in Sandy's memory. Make someone's day a little brighter and send them a card.
A Celebration of Life for Sandy will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025 from 12-3 pm at the Elsie Legion Hall. (The celebration will be open house style).
