Amos B. Taylor Sr., age 87, of Medart, Florida, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida.
Born on June 11, 1938, in Panacea, Florida, Amos was the son of the late Monroe and Minnie Lue Taylor. He spent most of his career at Big 10 Tires in Tallahassee, where he was widely known as the top front-end specialist in town. Over the years, he also worked as a mason, carpenter, and cabinet maker. Amos loved building things and often gave his creations away simply to bring a smile to others.
A friendly and social man, Amos never met a stranger. He cherished time with family and friends, and above all, he deeply loved his wife, Rita, often helping her with her crafts.
He will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who found happiness in the company of loved ones.
Amos was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Rita J. Taylor; his son, Paul Taylor; grandson, Kyle Taylor; sister, Rochelle Smith; and brothers, Robert, Stevie, and Guy Taylor.
