Raymond Garrett Revell, 58, went home to be with Jesus after suffering a heart attack on Sunday, October 12, 2025. He was born and raised in Tallahassee to Guy and Betty Jo Revell. He was a son, father, brother, and friend to many. He attended Godby High School. He grew up on the water with a special love for boating and water skiing and was an exceptional barefoot skier. He enjoyed many summers at the family home at St. George Island, Ochlocknee River, and Lake Mystic. He loved attending NASCAR, drag races, and dirt track races. Garrett also enjoyed working on anything with a motor. He spent many nights riding dirt roads and attending bonfires. Garrett had the amazing gift of speaking to anyone anywhere. He never met a stranger. But his greatest joy was his son, Grayson. He was looking forward to being known as "G-Paw". Garrett was so proud of Grayson, from playing high school football to becoming a lineman, husband, and soon-to-be father.
Garrett was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Guy and Betty Jo Revell, his grandparents, Clarence and Maggie Revell, and George and Ruby Yates. He was also preceded by his uncles, Ed Revell and George Yates, and his Aunt Ned.
Garrett is survived by his son, Grayson (Jade), and Andrea Revell. He is also survived by Christian Rich, whom he thought of as his son, his sisters Kendahl Gay (Guy), Bronwyn Ferrell (David), Dardra Potter (Tim), and his nephews, Chance Daniels (Heather), Zach Potter, his niece Chelsea Daniels (Sam), three great nieces, Quinn, Piper, Myers Jo.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 20th, at Bevis Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 21st, at Lake Mystic Baptist Church, 15292 County Road 12, Bristol, Florida. Burial will follow at Lake Mystic Baptist Church Cemetery. In Garrett style, please dress in jeans.
