Stephen Dwayne Hubbard

Stephen Dwayne Hubbard, 59, peacefully passed at home on October 14, 2025. Steve was
born in Tallahassee, FL to Wayne Hubbard and Edith Boland Hubbard and lived there until he
moved to Monticello in 2018.
Steve, or as many knew him Stevie, spent his childhood fishing, driving fast cars, and getting
into trouble. He loved his family and was especially close to his Mawmaw. In 1986 he met his
wife Julie (Amuso) and the rest was history. Together they had four children, Audriana,
Stephanie, Jessica, and Joseph.
Steve's career spanned over 30 years as a network engineer with the State of Florida. He
enjoyed the beauty of Florida's springs and rivers, never stopped loving antique cars, and was
a Florida Gator football fan through and through. Steve was at his happiest when he was
working with his hands whether he was working on the house, fixing a car, or out in the yard.
Above all else, he was proud of his children and he loved his beautiful wife. They are his legacy
and he will forever be a part of them.
Steve was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elizabeth McAllister Hubbard, and his father,
Wayne Hubbard. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Julie; his children, Audriana, Stephanie,
Jessica, and Joseph; his mother, Edith; his brother, Stanley; and his in-laws Laurence and Vera
Amuso.
His funeral will be held on Monday, October 20th with a visitation from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
and a service following at Bevis Funeral Home at 200 John Knox Rd, Tallahassee, FL.
