Ruby, SC - Mr. Charles W. Sellers, age 85, peacefully entered into rest early Saturday morning, July 5, 2025, at Springhill Assisted Living of Pageland, surrounded by his beloved wife, Carolyn.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 6:00 PM from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, with Pastor Ronald Thurman and Brent Taylor officiating. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 6:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Sellers was born on February 25, 1940, in Chesterfield County, SC, to the late Clyde and Nora Hancock Sellers. He was a graduate of Ruby High School and High Point College, later earning his master’s degree from the University of South Carolina. A member of Ruby Baptist Church and the South Carolina Army National Guard, Mr. Sellers retired as a Workforce Specialist with the Department of Social Services. Prior to that, he worked with Burlington Industries and Bo-Buck Mills.
In his free time, he enjoyed maintaining a neat yard and spending countless hours with his wife and nieces, Dee and Jessica, on shopping excursions.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Clyde Sellers, Jr., Grady Sellers, Marylee Parker, and Eloise Jenkins.
Surviving Mr. Sellers are his devoted wife of 60 years, Carolyn S. Sellers; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Mike) Burns of Ruby, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Dee (Tony) Lear of Ruby, SC, Jessica (Mark) Zwaschka of Spearfish, SD, Betty Ann (Billy) Davis of Ruby, SC, and Tommy (Gail) Jenkins of Florence, SC. He is also survived by great-nieces and great-nephews: Noah (Cassie), Madeline “Bay,” Britton, Zac, Alexandra, Melanie, Whitney, and Kevin.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Gentiva Hospice and the exceptional caregivers at Springhill Assisted Living of Pageland for the extraordinary care given to Mr. Sellers and his family during this time.
