With great sadness we announce that on September 28, 2025 we said goodbye to Charles Waldroup Jr, of Lewiston, Michigan who was born in Dillsboro, North Carolina. Charles was an AirForce veteran, having served 22 years in military service and achieving the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.
He was preceded in death by his wife, MaryJane; mother, Lillie Pannell; father, Charles B. Waldroup Sr; and brothers, Clayton, Donald, John, and Ronald. He is survived by his children, Lisa Waldroup, Charles Waldroup III, Lori Waldroup, and Liana Gettel; grandchildren, Paul Schellenberger, Shawn Gustafson, Morgan Lemcool, Charles Waldroup IV, Jasin Gettel, Ethan Gettel, and Aria Gettel.
To honor his wishes, Charles was cremated. The family will hold a private memorial to place Charles’ ashes.
