Funeral Services for Charles William Walker will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 15, 2025 in the Chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA with Bro. James Harris officiating. Visitation will held Friday, February, 14, 2025 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow service at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens, West Monroe, LA.
He was a member of Apostolic Faith Chapel in Gilbert, LA. He loved his church and was steadfast in his religion, He was a life time member of the Boast and Brags Hunting Club where he spent many years hunting with his friends and family creating many memories for all. He even hunted this year and killed a doe. He served in the Korean War earning the Purple Heart Award twice. He enjoyed having a cup of coffee at McDonald's and visiting with his friends. No matter where he went he either knew someone or if he didn't he did before he left.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Esly and Fammie Walker, Dorothy Walker Evans, his wife of 46 years and Margie Roberts Walker whom he was married to for 20 years. His son Donald Dewayne Walker, son in law Terry Wayne Lenard, brother Bobby Walker and sister Sue Ann Walker.
He is survived by his children Charles Lyn Walker and wife Gina and daughter LaRhonda Walker Lenard.
He had 7 grandchildren, David Walker (Kristi), Heather Rogers (Mark), Jason and Justin Lenard, Misty Bonfanti (Michael), Jared Walker (Jaicie) and Shelby Walker. He was lovingly known to his grandchildren as Snapple, Gramps and Papaw. He had 12 great grandchildren, Austin, Jackson, Colton, Harley, Jason Jr., Jurnee, Ace, Emri, Grey, Beck, Sailor and Amyra.
Pallbearers will be David Walker, Jason Lenard, Justin Lenard, Jared Walker, Austin Walker and Jackson Walker.
