Charles Mitchell Walker

Charles Mitchell Walker, age 78, passed away Friday February 20, 2026, Charles was born on May 7, 1947, in Lexington, KY to the late Frank Douglas and Marielle Stewart Walker. A Graduate of Madison High school, and later a Proud EKU Colonel and Alum, he went on to serve as an Army Paratrooper. In his free time Charles was an Avid Fisherman, he loved to read and enjoyed cooking.

Other than his Parents Charles was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Ballard Walker, and two brothers' Frank S. and James S. Walker.

Charles is Survived by one son Charles M. Walker II, of New York, one stepdaughter Felicia Ballard, of Berea, KY. One sister, Eve Walker Ballew and her husband Louis, of Richmond, KY. One grandson Julian Walker, of Berea, KY. And one Granddaughter Armani Walker, of North Carolina. Five Nephews, Steven Ballew, James Ballew, Stewart Ballew, Lowell Price, and Mark Joe Price. One niece Mariele Ballew, as well as a host of great nieces and nephews, friends, and cousins.

A Graveside Service will take place on Monday March 2, 2026, 12:00PM, at Madison County Memorial Gardens, 210 Rice Ln W, Richmond, KY 40475 Rev. Robert R. Blythe officiating. Davis & Powell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
