Charles Sidney Winscott, 82, passed away on September 12, 2024 in Maumelle, AR after a long illness.

Charles was born July 30, 1942, in Ottawa County, Oklahoma, the son of Charles Nelson Winscott and Jessie Wolfinbarger Winscott. He graduated from Wyandotte, OK High School in 1960. After serving in the US Navy aboard the USS Lexington and the USS Kitty Hawk, Charles went to work for Fairchild Corporation/KingPress, building large printing presses. He worked for the company for 39 years, retiring as Vice President of Manufacturing. He also farmed for most of his adult life. He earned a BS from Missouri Southern State College by going to night school for seven years. Charles was a lifetime member of the Joplin Elks Lodge.

Charles married Susann Lee Rinehart on June 4, 1966, and she survives. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Martha Hoover-Wilson and Sharon Clapp and one brother, John Winscott.

Charles is survived by one daughter, Julie Bevans (David), one son, Tyler Winscott (Johanna), four grandchildren, Bailey Bevans Smith (Clayton), Chase Bevans, Lukas Winscott, Ryan Winscott, one great grandson, Dax Smith, one brother Ron Winscott (Beverly) and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, October 12, 2024 at the Swars Prairie Baptist Church with Dr. Douglas Lawson officiating. The cremains will be buried in the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson Voice Project at 646 North Coit Road Ste. 2250, Richardson, TX 75080.
