Charlie Brooks Obituary
DYER CHAPEL - Charlie Brooks, aged 78, passed away peacefully at home on April 4th, 2025. He was born on July 24th, 1946 in Nashville, to Charlie Brooks Sr. And Martha Lee Brooks.
He was a proud Nashville native and was a 1964 graduate of Glencliff High School. He married Cheryl Brooks in 2009 and moved to Cookeville, TN. Charlie loved cooking, growing herbs, the Christmas season and reading, his love of learning was his lifelong passion. He worked as a respiratory therapist and teacher, with professional accolades too numerous to list. Charlie was known for his quick wit, intelligence, devotion, and ambition.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Brooks; his daughter, Brittany Brooks; his younger sister, Sue Watts; stepchildren and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In accordance with Charlie’s wishes, there will not be a funeral or memorial service. If you would like to honor him, please consider donating to your local PBS station.
