Charlie Earl Cook

Charlie Earl Cook, 63, of Rossville, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025. He was born on February 26, 1962, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to George Cook and Dean Brown. He grew up in Detroit, Michigan where he graduated from Central High School. He owned C & R Roofing and Painting and was a great handyman. He loved fishing, camping, and was an avid pool player. He also loved watching basketball, especially women's and his grandchildren's games. Charlie was always active in his community and especially cared about mental health. He was always supporting and uplifting people and had a contagious laugh that made everybody happy. He never met a stranger and was a dad to everyone. As everybody's go to person, he was the glue that held the family together. Above all else, his world revolved around his family, and he was always there for them, never missing one of their events.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Zacai "Donovan" Cook.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ronda Cook; children, Nathaniel (Lanie) Cook, Briana Cook, and Kathleen Austin-Cook; grandchildren, Braxton Austin-Cook, Isaiah Watts, Damien Cook, Serenity Cook, Landeyn Royster, Ivory Austin-Cook, Olivia Cook, Xavier Cook, Storm Martin, Aubrina Cook, and Theo Riley; brothers, Frank Brown, Curtis Cook, and Carl Cook; and his lifelong friend, Perry Baines.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 12:00p.m.-2:00p.m. with a service following in the state room at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory South Crest Chapel.

Inurnment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
