CHARLIE GRIM PRESTON

Charlie Grim Preston, affectionately known as "Buddy," was born on October 2, 1931, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, in Clark County. He passed away on June 10, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication.

A proud veteran, Buddy served his country in the United States Army, demonstrating both bravery and commitment. After his military service, he pursued a career with the US Postal Service, where he dedicated many years of his life to serving the community.

Buddy is survived by his beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory and uphold the values he instilled in their lives. He was preceded in death by his dear spouse, Inez Shaw Preston, who together with him created a family bound by love and respect.

The viewing will take place on June 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, Texas. A funeral service will be held the following day, June 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 2635 Brigham Lane, Dallas, Texas, concluding with a burial at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
