Charlie Marie Shaeffer went to sleep peacefully in the arms of Jesus at 21 weeks. Her life was short with us here on earth, but she was loved the second we found out we were pregnant with her and her twin brother.
Charlie is survived by her parents, Michael and Shawnesse Shaeffer; twin brother, Brooks; brothers, Nolan and Sawyer; grandparents, Duke (Kelly) Shaeffer, Brian (Tracy) Walsh, and Shawn (Lynn) Freeze; great-grandparents, Harold Pierce and Lewis (Janice) Compton. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Tara Freeze; cousin, Jackson Freeze; great-grandparents, Linda Pierce, Kenny (Judy) Shaeffer, and Larry (Joan) Freeze; as well as many other loved ones.
She may have only been physically held for a moment, but everyone will hold her in their hearts forever. She was born silent into this world, but her little life spoke volumes. When a baby is born, it’s a mother’s instinct to protect her baby. When a baby dies, it’s a mother’s instinct to protect their memory.
Charlie will forever be loved and missed until we meet again in heaven.
