HENDERSON- Charlie Robert Stevenson Jr., 87, a resident of Gary Street died Sunday August 17, 2025 at his home. Born on August 5, 1938 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Charlie Robert Stevenson Sr. and Nellie Blanche Gupton Stevenson. He was a retired Sanitation Engineer for Vance County. Charlie was a veteran of the United States Army, an active member of Victory Baptist Church for 51 years where he was a member of the adult Sunday School Class. He was also formerly employed with Auto Mart of Henderson.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Victory Baptist Church by the Reverend Ricky Easter. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eve Allen Wallace Stevenson, of the home; four daughters: Linda S. Snyder and husband Mark of Coshocton, Ohio, Alisha S. Brack and husband Michael of Raleigh; Jennifer Stevenson of Henderson; and Angela Railey and husband Jerry of Henderson; one sister, Nancy S. Pruitt of Holly Hills, Florida; one brother, Bobby Stevenson of Henderson; three grandchildren, Matthew Stevenson and wife Tanna, Sierra Bowes, and Christian Bowes; and two great grandchildren Raven Stevenson and Zaiden Bowes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Stevenson and Raymond Stevenson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Victory Baptist Church. At other times they will be at the home.

Serving as pall bearers will be Timothy Stevenson, Todd Stevenson, Chad Stevenson, Vance Barham, Dale Matthews, and Ricky Pendergrass.
