Charlotte L. Broady Bradshaw

Charlotte Louise Broady Bradshaw, age 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Charlotte was born in Paducah, KY to the late Charles Edwin Broady Sr. (Fats) and Mildred Louise Tilghman Broady (Skippy) on August 22, 1952.
Charlotte was raised in Burks Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, the family church, and attended Victory Assembly Worship Center on occasions.
As both a child and young person Charlotte was full of energy and very inquisitive. She was an avid shopper, liked word search puzzles and had begun crocheting as her favorite pastime. To know Charlotte was to love her because there was no in- between; "either she liked you or she didn't".
After graduating from Paducah Tilghman High School, she continued her education at Draughon's Business College on Saturdays. There she received certification in shorthand and typing. Later she graduated from Paducah Area Vocational School with a diploma in operating room technology, receiving National Certification to work in any operating room in the United States.
Not one to rest on her laurels, Charlotte attended and graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale Campus where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology. Charlotte was also a graduate of Murray Vocational School with a degree as an LPN and was licensed by the State of Kentucky holding positions in nursing and social work. She worked in the Louisville, KY area where she lived the majority of her adult life.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mildred Broady, One Grandson, O'Ryan D. Broady Jones, better known as "O", Paternal Grandparents, James and Mary Broady, Maternal Grandparents, Jesse George and Lottie Vinson.
Those to cherish her loving memory: Two daughters, Michelle Broady Marshall (Quentin) and Margo Franklin both of Paducah, KY; One Son, Justin Bradshaw of Paducah; Six Grandchildren, Alexis Broady of Clarksville, TN, Quentin Marshall, Jr. (Derreca Love) of Hopkinsville, KY, Camden Marshall, Damaris Marshall, Kaitlyn Edwards, MaKayla Edwards all of Paducah, KY; Five Great-Grandchildren, Carson Broady, Emersyn Broady, Masai Marshall, Carter McCutcheon, Chance McCutcheon all of Paducah, KY; One Brother, Charles E. Broady, Jr. of Paducah, KY; One Sister, Alison Broady of Clarksville, TN; Two Uncles, Reverend James H. Vinson of Paducah, KY, Jesse "Smitty" Vinson, Jr. of Midlothian, Va; Two Aunts, Carol Vinson Lea of Fairfield, CA and Helen Vinson of Paducah, KY and A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 24, 2024, 11:30 a.m. at Burks Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church with Reverend Donna Lohorn and Reverend Alfred Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Thursday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour.
