Charlotte May "Dolly" Cain, 81 of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022.
Dolly was born on June 23, 1940 in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Sheppard "Junior" Cain; five brothers, Melvin Tarbutton, Robert Tarbutton, Roland Tarbutton, Jimmy Tarbutton, and George Tarbutton; and her sister, Mary Jane Cassidy.
She is survived by her son, Richard Porter and wife Laura of Lumberton; son John Porter of Florida; son, Mark Porter of Fayetteville; daughter, Michelle Hair and partner Michael Daniels of Spring Lake; daughter, Irene Lewis and husband James of Fayetteville; ten grandchildren, Clay Hernly and wife Jill, Andy Hernly and wife Lisa, James Naylor, Joshua and wife Elizabeth Naylor, Dorothy Hambrick, Dwight Hambrick, Brittany Lewis and partner Jason Bryan, James Lewis, Jr. and partner Haleigh Freeman, Damien Porter, and Amber Porter; thirteen great grandchildren, Lauren Hernly, Calleigh Hernly, Joshua Naylor, Jr., Hayden Naylor, Avery Naylor, Leland Hambrick, Brantley Lewis, Brooklyn Lewis, Braxton Lewis, Kylie Porter, Makayla Porter, Carson Horne, and Madison Horne; and host of other family members and friends.
Dolly was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
