Charlotte Elaine Dent

Charlotte Elaine Dent, beloved Mother to 2 boys: James (Jim) A. Dent (61 yrs old) of Lakewood, Washington and Jerrold (Jerry) A. Dent (59 yrs old) of Everett, Washington passed away peacefully in her sleep at Lakewood, Washington on September 27, 2025, at James and Lisa's home leaving a void that her family cannot fill.

Charlotte was born in Los Angeles, California on January 11, 1944, to John and Mrytle Hamilton. Charlotte has been a resident of Lewiston, Idaho for 12 years plus, Highland, California for approximately 10 years to where she made her last move back to Lewiston for an estimated 20 years. Charlotte worked as an Insurance Agent/Sales in California and for Statler Insurance while in Lewiston. Charlotte loved being back in Lewiston to where she had many friends and relatives around the surrounding Lewis/Clark Valley. She loved doing crossword puzzles, watching her soap operas, and NASCAR racing. On occasions headed to her local watering holes either the "Hideaway" or "The Tap Room" to where everyone knew her and adored her. Charlotte had many friends and whoever knew her, knew that she had a great sense of humor, a beautiful smile, kind heart, and would help anyone if she could. A lady who loved her family and the people in the LC Valley.

Charlotte was a devoted single mother to Jim and Jerry, whom she loved very much. She always said that she was very proud of them and always spoke of them and their families often. Jim and Jerry felt that love and support she provided throughout the years.

Charlotte took special joy in her brother (John) and sister (Janelle) and had fond memories of them growing up and spending much time together. In the later years she especially loved when they would come to visit her and the many laughs and memories created throughout those years.

Charlotte was preceded in death by John W.L. Hamilton (Father) and Myrtle I. Hamilton (Mother), is survived by sons James A. Dent (Lisa) and Jerrold A. Dent. Sister Janelle Leachman of Deary, Idaho and Brother John Hamilton of Bouse, Arizona, Grand Children: Jamie, Justin, Amber, Vyncint, and Jeri. Great Grand Children: Ian, Lilly-Ann, Rizzo, Kayzha, Khloi, Kamilah, Kaede, and Asher. Many Nieces, Nephews, and cousins who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

Memorial Service will tentatively be on 21 March 2026 at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lewiston, Idaho. Time and further details will be posted through Charlotte's Facebook page or The Lewiston Tribune Paper.
