Charlotte Ann Hicks
Charlotte Ann Hicks, 86, of Grover, NC, went to meet her Lord and Savior on July 14, 2025 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC. Born September 25, 1938 in York County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lizzie Carroll Williams and was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Thomas J. Hicks, her sisters Frances Taush, Ruby Hudson, Jane Deskins, and Opal Brakefield, and her brothers Carl Williams, Cecil Williams, Gordon Williams, and Robert Williams. Charlotte retired after serving the community for many years as the Executive of Housekeeping at Kings Mountain Hospital. She was a longtime member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Grover, where she was very active as a choir member. She was a devoted wife and nurturing mother, always willing to help anyone, and known for making delicious sweet tea. Charlotte will be remembered for the love she shared so freely: love for her church, her family, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. This legacy of love and caring will be remembered for a lifetime by all who knew and loved her.
SURVIVORS: Daughters: Barbara Willis (Chuck) of Webster, FL and Phylis Yates of Ellenboro, NC
Grandchildren: C.K. Willis (Mylisa), Steven Willis, John Haynes (Danielle), Jennifer Hoyle (Tyler), and Ashley Hicks
Great-Grandchildren: Brandon, Alexis, Ava, Alanna, Seanna, Aaliyah, Kayleigh, Ansleigh, and Anna
Great-Great-Grandson: Remmi
FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall at Allen Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Reese English officiating
VISITATION: Thursday, July 17, 2025, prior to the service from 1:00-1:50 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall at Allen Memorial Baptist Church
INTERMENT: Allen Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery
