Woodruff, SC.
Charlotte Williams Hobbs, 86, widow of Rev. Archie Lee Hobbs, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 31, 2024, at her home.
Born June 7, 1938, in Mebane, NC., she was a daughter of the late Charlie Austin Williams and Coye Howard Williams. She was retired from Spartanburg County School District 5, a member of Lyman Wesleyan Church and attended Knighton Chapel Wesleyan Church.
Surviving is her daughter, Susan Smith and husband Tony of Woodruff; sons, Stephen Lee Hobbs and wife Kathy of Granite Falls NC., James Austin Hobbs and wife Phyllis of Graham, NC., Philip Michael Hobbs and wife Betsy of Toccoa, GA.; grandchildren, Kristen Hobbs (Courtney), Joshua Smith (April), Caleb Smith (Marcie), Richard Hobbs, Ben Hobbs; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Michele "Charlie" Smith and Hayes Edward Lail
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Geraldine Dodson (Albert) and a brother, Howard Williams (Becky)
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 3:45p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary with Rev. Steve Love officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Smith, Caleb Smith, Richard Hobbs, Ben Hobbs, Kristen Hobbs and Vanessa Palmer.
The family wishes to give a special thanks you Spartanburg Regional Hospice for all their love and care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Knighton Chapel Wesleyan Church, 2122 Knighton Chapel Rd, Fountain Inn, SC 29644.
Family members are at the home.
