Memorial services for Charlotte Hudson will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Dacoma, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Charlotte Ann Curtis, daughter of the late Loyd Burnel and Erma Lee (Marrs) Curtis, was born April 1, 1954, at Alva, and passed away suddenly November 2, 2024, at her home in Alva, at the age of 70 years, 7 months, and 1 day.
Charlotte was raised in the Dacoma and Waynoka areas. She graduated from Waynoka High School with the class of 1973. After high school, she dedicated her life to domestic violence advocacy. After 20 years of service, she touched and saved countless lives and retired from the Intervention Crisis Advocacy Network of Canadian County.
She was an avid gardener who enjoyed growing flowers and plants of every kind and there was no such thing as too many. She also raised fruits and vegetables which she loved turning into deliciously preserved treats to be shared with friends and family during the holidays. And who could forget her trademark cakes in a jar? But her most adored hobby of all was spoiling her precious grandkids.
Besides her parents, Loyd and Erma, she was preceded in death by her sons, Tyson Curtis and Bronson Standlee.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Allison Jaques and husband, Cassidy, of Hinton; her son, Chanceson Standlee and wife, Sasha, of Tulsa; four grandchildren, Cassidy, Bearson, Lola, and Art; three brothers, Don Curtis and wife, Karen, of Alva, Loyd Curtis and wife, Donna, of Muskogee, and Elvoy "Bud" Curtis and wife, Terri, of Montgomery, Texas; one sister, LaDena Standlee of Colorado; other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to ICAN (Intervention Crisis Advocacy Network).
