Charlotte Boring Kesley, 89, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025.
She was born in a tent on November 25, 1935, in Lone Mountain, Tennessee, to Mark and Dora Boone Boring. Charlotte spent most of her childhood in Happy Valley, Tennessee, and in 1953, her family settled in Ooltewah, where she graduated from Ooltewah High School.
On March 1, 1957, she married the love of her life, Russell L. Kesley, at Mineral Park Baptist Church. Together, they made their home in Chattanooga and McDonald before settling in Cleveland in 1975. Charlotte and Russell were married just shy of 59 years.
Charlotte retired from the United States Postal Service after many years of service at the McDonald Post Office. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland since 1986 and found great joy in singing with the Roaring 50s.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell L. Kesley Sr.; her parents, Mark and Dora Boring; her sisters, Louise Wilkinson and Sherry Boring; and her brothers, Norman and Dennis Boring.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Russell L. Kesley Jr.; Charlotte Kesley Blancett (Darrell); and Mark R. Kesley (Holly). She was a proud and loving grandmother to six grandchildren: Courtney, Dan, Kate, Jack, Miyah, and ZaVeah Kesley - all of whom adored her as much as she adored them.
She is also survived by her siblings: Elizabeth Wagoner, Pam Kliner, Sheila Boring, Calvin Boring, Ed Boring, Wendall Boring, David Boring, and Tom Boring; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Charlotte will be remembered for her faith, warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family. Her presence was a blessing, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
