Charlotte Pichotta died peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Brookdale
Assisted Living Facility.
Charlotte was born November 27, 1919 in Chrost, Germany, the daughter of Roman
and Agnes Mrosek.
In Germany, she met her husband, Bernard Pichotta, and they were married in 1951.
The couple moved to Watertown, Connecticut where they lived for over 35-years before
moving to St. Augustine, Florida in 1989. She was employed at Sealy Mattress in
Oakville until her retirement. Her loving husband, Bernhard passed away in 2017.
Charlotte was always full of life and loved cooking and baking for her family and
friends. She especially enjoyed passing down her German recipes to those who
wanted to learn. She enjoyed gardening and playing BINGO.
She leaves behind four nieces and one nephew, 10-great nieces and nephews, and 11-
great-great nieces and nephews. Her niece, Linda LeMay Sordoni and her husband
Larry, were her caregivers during the final years of her life.
Charlotte is predeceased by her parents, her sisters Hilde Koschnick and Elisabeth
LeMay and their husbands Paul and Arthur, as well as her brother Alfred Mrosek.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Saint John's County Fire
Rescue, 3657 Gaines Road, Saint Augustine, Florida 32084.
