Charlotte Elizabeth "CE" Scott, 89, of Newcastle, Oklahoma, passed away September 30, 2025. She was born September 16, 1936, in Chandler, Oklahoma, to Clarence and Frances Bishop, and was the youngest of four children.
In 1953, at the age of 17, Charlotte moved to Del City, Oklahoma, where she met the love of her life, Okie Harold "OH" Scott. He lovingly called her "Prissy," and they were married on December 4, 1954. They shared 67 wonderful years together and were blessed with three children: Sharon Diane, Randall Harold (Carla), and Deborah Ann (Randy Cochran); nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Charlotte worked at Don's Diner, sold Avon, and later retired as a supervisor at OU Health Sciences Center. After her formal retirement, she continued working at Kids R Us daycare. A woman of strong faith, she was known for her kindness, hospitality, and joyful spirit. She loved traveling-especially to Branson, Missouri-and found delight in flowers, birds, seasonal decorations, and most of all, her family. She treasured attending her children's and grandchildren's events and was always their biggest fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Okie Harold Scott; brothers, Bill and Raymond Bishop; sister, Mavis Myers; daughter-in-law, Dana Gardner Scott; and son-in-law, Ted Ketterling.
Charlotte's life was a beautiful example of love, faith, and generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
