Charlotte Ann Weems, a beacon of selfless love and nurturing compassion, passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 78. She was a lifelong resident of West Monroe, LA, where she was born on April 16, 1945, and where she passed from this life surrounded by the love of her family. Charlotte was the steadfast wife of her beloved Grover for 56 years, a union marked by enduring affection and mutual devotion.
Together they raised two sons, Wade and his wife Amanda, Brad and his wife Melinda, and were the proud grandparents to Hunter, Sabrina and her husband Tanner, Fisher, Whitney, and Kaylin Weems. The family bonds extended to Charlotte's mother-in-law, Hazel Weems; her sisters, Patricia Hare and Katie Blakeney, along with Katie's husband Homer; and numerous treasured nieces and nephews.
Charlotte's life was characterized by the kind of loving kindness that saw her embrace all children in her community as if they were her own. Her thoughtful nature led her to prioritize the well-being of others continuously, showcasing the epitome of what it means to be selfless. An active member of Watson Baptist Church, she found great joy in tending to the roses and sharing in the fellowship of her church community.
Her presence, always alongside her husband Grover, was a constant in the lives of those who knew her. It's often said, "To the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world." This captures the essence of Charlotte's impact on those around her.
As we mourn the loss of Charlotte Ann Weems, we celebrate the legacy of love and thoughtfulness she leaves behind. A matriarch in the truest sense, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire her family and the many lives she touched.
