Charlynn (Cooky) Ann Seeger was born to eternal life on June 8, 2024, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Donald Seeger. Loving mother of Carolyn (Mark) Kapp and Mark (Elizabeth) Seeger. Dear "Gramma" of Ryan & Nathan Kapp and Axel Seeger. Sister of William (Janet) Richter, John (Sandra) Richter, Kathy Krolikowski, Susan (William) Isler, Fred Richter, Penny (Greg) Drager, Russell Richter, Jean (Dave) Gaska and Laury Richter. Beloved aunt to many nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Albert and Kathleen Richter, brother James, father-in-law Harold Seeger, mother-in-law Dorothea Seeger, Sister-in-law Sandra Bingen and brother-in-law Thomas Bingen.
Cooky was born on July 25, 1946, in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Washington High School in 1964. She married Donald Seeger, her high school sweetheart, in 1967. The two have been together since the age of 15.
Cooky was a devoted stay-at-home mom until her kids reached school age. She also babysat for multiple other children during that time. Once her kids were in school, she started a career as a banking customer service rep where she developed many loyal customers and friendships. She retired in 2012 and began babysitting her youngest grandchild, possibly her favorite "job" of all time. Her grandchildren were her world. Through the years she enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, ceramics, playing in a volleyball league with friends, her plants, family picnics, bowling parties and holiday gatherings.
She was an excellent Christian role model who lived her faith daily. She was a long-time member of Nazareth Lutheran Church and Benediction Lutheran Church. She was devoted to her husband and family and will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Cooky's life will take place Wednesday, June 19 at Benediction Lutheran Church, 8475 W. Fond du Lac Ave, Milwaukee. Visiting hours are from 2:00PM until the time of memorial service at 4:00PM. Pastor Don Hougard will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cooky's life.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial in memory of Cooky to Benediction Lutheran Church.
