Charmaine Joan Lennox

Late in the evening of All Saints Day, Charmaine (Lemmon) Lennox, 96, of Largo, FL, arrived home to a country she had never visited but knew well.
Born on September 7, 1929 in Massillon, OH, to Harry S. and MaryBelle Lemmon, Charmaine was born again to a living hope while in high school in East Aurora, NY.
She attended Houghton University where she met Ian Lennox. After she graduated and served a year in home missions, they married in 1952.
Charmaine and Ian moved to the Philadelphia area where she devoted herself to her family and her church. She mentored and counseled many, served as a Stephen Minister, taught Sunday School, led children's programs, and served in leadership roles.
Charmaine was especially a woman of the Word. She studied Scripture faithfully and taught it passionately. Most importantly, she came to know the Author well and longed for others to do so as well.
When Charmaine and Ian retired to Florida, she continued her teaching ministry, establishing a women's Bible study at the church where she was a member, Anona United Methodist. That study thrives today with a solid leadership team.
Charmaine loved her family, praying faithfully for her five children, their spouses, and their families. She is predeceased by her husband, Ian, of 69 years and survived by her five children, Deborah (Jeff) Arrendale, David, Stephen (Eileen), Judith Miller, and Andrew (Casey), nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Martha (Matt) Strodel and Linda (John) Evans, a daughter-in-love, Laura, and many who consider her their spiritual mother.
A memorial service will be held at the Anona United Methodist Church, 13233 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774, December 6, 2025 at 2PM. Visitation at 1PM.
