Chasity Gary, born on September 22, 1979, in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, made local history in 1997 as the first African American to be crowned Queen of the Phoenixville Dogwood Pageant, a milestone that reflected her vibrant spirit and the light she shared so generously with the world. After a brave five-year battle with cancer, Chasity passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, at the age of 46.

A proud graduate of Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy & Practice, Chasity built a life of service as both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Nurse. She served with distinction during her twelve years at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, where her compassion and leadership touched the lives of countless veterans. Her dedication was recognized with the Secretary of Veterans Affairs Challenge Coin for excellence, an honor that spoke to the impact of her work and her unwavering commitment to others.

Beyond her professional achievements, Chasity's greatest and most cherished role was being a mother. Her daughters, Amelia Marie Lyn Gibbs and Caden Mae Gibbs, were the center of her heart and the inspiration behind everything she did. She filled their lives with joy, making every celebration meaningful, every milestone special, and every day filled with love.

Rooted in deep faith, Chasity drew strength from her relationship with God, meeting life's challenges with grace, resilience, and prayer. She will be remembered for her generosity, her elegance, and the warmth she brought into every room. Her presence uplifted everyone around her, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine through her cherished daughters and all who were blessed to know her.

Chasity was preceded in death by her parents, Carolyn "Nip" (Harper) Gary and Anthony "Plug" Gary, and her sister, Tiffany Patrice Harper. She is survived by her daughters, her brothers Michael Anthony Gary and Anthony King, the father of her children Dexter Gibbs and a wide circle of family and friends who will carry her memory forward with immense love and gratitude.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Bethel Baptist Church, 412 Fairview Street, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Nathan Coleman. Burial will follow in the Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA. Friends will be received from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc. Condolences may be offered online at www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.

I am so saddened by this great loss. Charity achieved many goals and gave much to the world in her short years. I pray for her children, brothers, and family. With her faith in God, may she rest in peace.
