Cherie Dawn Vanderburg

Cherie Dawn Vanderburg, of Conroe, Texas, met her Lord and Savior, face to face, on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at her home, following a lengthy illness, at the age of 34. She was born on July 14, 1987, in Houston, to Dan and Rose Gabbard.
She married her love, Rev. Jeremy Vanderburg, and he survives, along with their children, Jonathan and Abigail. In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her siblings, Deanna Gabbard and Ryan (Cheyenne) Gabbard; in-laws Sam and Rhonda Vanderburg, Sam Vanderburg Jr. and Tracy Vanderburg, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
Cherie was a graduate of Abeka Academy and Christ for the Nations Institute.
She had a passion for children and missions; serving on mission trips in the countries of Mexico, Israel, Honduras, Italy, and China. She was an accomplished Administrative Assistant; working primarily at the South Texas Assemblies of God office as the Administrative Assistant for the Director of Children's Ministries. She had a profound love for children's missions which is the Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge (BGMC) – the Assemblies of God children's mission program.
Cherie lived life to the fullest; had a bubbly personality and loved to have fun. She was always smiling and brought a smile to everyone's face. She was devoted to her husband, and adored her children. She loved well and was deeply loved.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to BGMC; and college funds for Jonathan and Abigail.
The family would like to thank Generations Church in Spring, TX, Cancer Care Ministry, and Oasis Hospice for their help and support during this time of loss.
