Chelse Anne Widen

Chelse Anne Widen passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, November 2, 2025.

She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and friend. Chelse's warmth and kindness drew

people in, nurturing everyone she met with compassion and grace.She was born July 14,

1983, in Norfolk, VA to David Bruce and Gloria "Annette" McDonald Widen.After graduating

from Hickory High School, she went on to study at Medical CareersInstitute where she trained

to be an Endoscopy Nurse. Her nurturing kindness extended to her work at Capital Digestive

Care. A dedicated nurse, she made patients feel comfortable through their procedures. Chelse

found joy in documenting her life through photography, caring for her flock of chickens, and

bringing forth life in her bountiful vegetable garden. She was always eager to look for her next

adventure hiking on trails, going to festivals, and running races.Chelse loved her children

unconditionally and took great pride in their strong character and all of their accomplishments.

Her legacy will remain strong through her parents, David Bruce and Gloria "Annette"Widen;

her daughter, Sydney Elizabeth Caron and her son, Matthew Nehemiah Caron;her loving sister,

Katie Elizabeth Robinson and her husband, Christopher Scott; herformer husband of ten years,

Derek Wade Caron; her colleagues at Capital DigestiveCare; her former colleagues at the Barry

Robinson Center; and the many friends thatshe made throughout her lifetime.

The service to celebrate her life will be on Sunday Nov. 16, 2025, at 9:00 A.M. in the Chapel of

Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322. Reverend Burton

Robinson will officiate. She will be laid to rest privately with family only. Condolences may be
