Wilford Carlyle "Bud" Spencer Jr., a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, in 
Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 56. Born on November 3, 1968, in Norfolk, Virginia, Bud lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and work.
After graduating from high school, Bud honorably served his country in the United States Army, an experience that shaped his life profoundly. Following his service, he built a successful career as a fuel hauler with Pope Gas Company. His professional journey also saw him as a truck driver, transporting various goods across the country.
Bud was a man of many interests. He found great joy in fishing and looked forward to attending the annual FM99 Lunatic Luau. Known for his quick wit and humor, Bud was an avid jokester who could light up any room with his laughter. He cherished spending time with his family, often over a game of board games
.
Preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Deborah Ann Spencer, and his parents, Wilford C. Spencer, Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth Ives. Bud leaves behind a legacy of love in his surviving family: his devoted children, Kimberly Lewis (Beth) of Las Vegas, NV, Kara Spencer (James) of Portsmouth, VA, Michael Spencer, and Matthew Spencer; and his treasured grandchild, Bella Spencer. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Spencer, and three sisters, Wanda Spencer of NC, Mildred Davis of Chesapeake, and Donna Nicely of Chesapeake.
Bud will be laid to rest at a later date at the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in
