Cheryl Denise Alsbrooks, 64, passed away on Saturday, November 8th, 2025. Visitations will be held Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 from 11 am to 12:30 pm at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1 pm at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Parks under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Cheryl Denise Alsbrooks was born July 29th, 1961, to Henry Alsbrooks, Sr and LaWanda Alsbrooks. She passed away November 8th, 2025. Cheryl was born and raised in Lubbock, TX, where she attended Ella Iles Elementary, Alderson, Jr. High, and Estacado High School.
Cheryl was known for her warm spirit, generous heart, and the love she shared with everyone around her. She had a passion for cooking and could always be found in the kitchen preparing meals and making sure everyone washed their hands. She loved listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with family.
She earned her license in cosmetology from Vogue, but later dedicated many years to serving others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) until her retirement. Cheryl will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her kindness, laughter, and love will remain in our hearts forever.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her father Henry Alsbrooks, her brothers Orlando Lee, Walter Alsbrooks, and Henry Alsbrooks, Jr.
Cheryl leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother LaWanda Alsbrooks, her son Bronson Alsbrooks, her sister Sharon Bradford, her brother Charles Alsbrooks, her granddaughter Brontasia Alsbrooks, her grandson Bronson Alsbrooks, Jr., nieces Tuala Caroway, Sharronda Bradford, Kamesha Yancy, Loleda Allen, and Keisha Childress, her nephews Tashani Bibbs, Devin Favors, Deshone Lee, and Rodrick Linzsey, and a host of other relatives and friends.
