Cheryl Bean Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 9, 2025.
Cheryl Lynn Bean, age 65, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, in Leroy, OH. Born on September 8, 1960, Cheryl lived a life filled with creativity, compassion, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. A proud graduate of Kirtland High School and Michigan State University, she spent several years living in Michigan before returning home to Ohio, where she remained close to family and the places she loved most.

Cheryl found joy in life's simple and beautiful moments. She adored hummingbirds and all animals, and she shared an unbreakable bond with her beloved dogs-Domino, Gypsy, Cody, and Penny-who brought her unconditional love and constant companionship. Her gardens were her sanctuary; she spent countless hours planning, planting, and nurturing every detail. Her landscapes bloomed with care and artistry-always expressive, always hers-but never with a gazing ball in sight.

Exceptionally creative, Cheryl worked in stained glass and crafted many stunning pieces that reflected her artistic spirit. She also had a gift for cooking and baking. For years, she lovingly prepared full holiday meals for her family, taking on every dish and dessert herself-a true expression of her generosity and devotion.

Cheryl is survived by her beloved mother, Lois Myers (nee Croyle); her sister Debbie (Jeff) Kenyon and brother Bruce (Paula) Myers; nephews Lee Myers and David Myers, Derek (Sunny) Kenyon, Paul (Ashleigh) Kenyon, and Mark (Hannah) Kenyon; and great-nieces and nephews Juliette, Clint, Kate, Rowan, and Jake. She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Myers.

A funeral service to honor Cheryl's life will be held on Saturday, December 13, at 10:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 8091 Plank Rd., Thompson, OH, with interment to follow at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.

Cheryl will be remembered for her generous heart, her artistic gifts, and the beauty she brought into the lives of all who loved her.
