Cheryl dedicated her professional life to the nurturing and education of children with special needs, serving with compassion and commitment in the Dorsett Shoals Special Education program within the Douglas County School System for 17 years. She retired in 2008, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication that touched many lives.
She was very involved with the Divas Hats of Many Colors of Villa Rica. Cheryl's favorite saying was "Love You" where she expressed it to all family, neighbors and friends.
Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, George J. Farley, and her three sons, Shane Michael Farley of Sandy Springs, Scott Joseph Farley of Villa Rica and Bryan George Farley (Amanda McLendon) of Carrollton. She also leaves behind her sister, Nancy (Edward) Duval of Ballston Lake, NY; grandson Mason McLendon and her special granddaughter, Kaitlyn Farley (Dustin) Harrelson of Birmingham, Alabama.; numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Cooper who brought immense joy to her life.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 10:30AM to 12:00PM with funeral service immediately to follow at 12:00PM at Jones Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Committal service will take place at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Friday November 7, 2025, at 1:00PM.
Flowers are accepted; however, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society.
Her commitment to family and her profound impact on her students will be remembered by many. Cheryl's kindness and spirit remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she influenced throughout her journey.

Words can't start to express the loss of Mrs. Cheryl. She's been such an important part of my parents life and mine for the past 20 years. She helped my mom in so many ways since my parents moved to GA after Katrina. Knowing she was next door to my mom after my dad passed 6 years ago put me at ease because I knew she had a great neighbor to help her get through the time. Now we will be here for Mr. George and his family the same way. Mrs. Cheryl was such a compassionate person, her love and kindness will be greatly missed.
