Cheryl Ann Gallishaw, 69, of New Haven, CT, departed this life on Sunday, November 24, 2024 after relentlessly battling a long serious illness.
Cheryl was born in New Haven, CT on December 15, 1954, the daughter of Altermease & WIllie Whichard. She attended school in the New Haven Public Schools system. Cheryl was a loving & caring Mother of eight children and worked in the capacity of her home as a full-time homemaker and caregiver to her family. She enjoyed good food, cooking and listening to music. Cheryl liked to dress nice, wear make-up and paint her nails. She spent countless hours talking, laughing & passing time with her family. Her favorite color was purple. Her favorite candy was chocolate covered cherry cordials. Cheryl cherished the simplicity of life. Her family was her source of strength and pride. She always made sure to tell her children & family how much she loved and cared for them all.
Cheryl was predeceased by her husband William Gallishaw, her son Tracy Gallishaw, her parents Willie & Altermease Whichard, brothers & sisters. She leaves to cherish her memories: Aeisha H. Whichard, Wilhelmina Whichard (Warren), David Whichard, Pearl Smokes, Abraham & Robert Gallishaw, Raymond Whichard (Yolanda), William Dwayne (Charisse), Sharon Monique (Ronnie), Terrance (Denise), Sherrill, Altermease Ebonique, Jasmen, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a whole host of nieces, nephews, family & friends
