Taysa Moore

Taysa Danita Moore was a resident of New Haven, CT. She battled Stage 4 throat cancer towards the end of her life and was treated by doctors at Yale New Haven Hospital. Taysa passed away in her home in Brookside on November 3, 2025.
Taysa was born to Channie Moore and Lewis Moore (deceased) on April 13, 1970 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She leaves behind her Husband, Cecil Sims, her siblings: Donna Forde (Percy Forde), Marilyn Myers and Anthony Moore Sr (Lakiyah Moore)and predeceased brother Barnard Moore. She had one daughter, Laquisha Mccray, and her grandkids Nova Mccray, Skye Mccray and Caleb Mccray. She leaves 30 other grandkids through marriage and some nephews and nieces.
Taysa primarily grew up in the Church Street South area also known as " The Jungle". She attended Wilbur Cross High School. Her and her husband has been a member of St Matthew's Baptist Church in New Haven.
Taysa was a free spirit. She loved to laugh, dance and party with family and friends. She loved music and movies. She was the life of the party and a genuine caring and giving person. She enjoyed going to new places but mostly exploring new places with the kids. She was a kid at heart and knew how to bring out the creativity of her grandkids. She was a devoted wife, a daughter, sister, aunty, cousin but more importantly a mother and best friend. She was loved and will be truly missed.
