Cheryl Reece Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cremation Society of Minnesota (First Memorial Funeral Chapel) - Duluth on Sep. 10, 2024.
Obituary of Cheryl Reece
Cheryl Reece, a devoted nurse, whose hands and heart cared for countless souls, passed away on September 5th 2024 after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. She was 77.
Cheryl spent her life committed to her family, friends and patients and left an unforgettable mark on the world. Cheryl was known for her generosity, not only to the ones she loved, but to her patients. Cheryl lived a life with an open heart, often baking cookies, delivering presents or sending care packages not only for those she loved, but also for those in need.
In her final chapter, as Lewy Body took its toll, Cheryl faced the disease with the same strength and sense of humor she had shown throughout her life. As a gardener, she continued to love spending time amongst the flowers. Though her memory faded, her spirit remained strong, reminding us that love, once given, remains forever.
She is survived by her brother Kim, her daughters Kimberlee and Kara, and her granddaughter Madisen. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched both professionally and at home.
The family invites friends, colleagues and loved ones to a celebration of Cheryl's life on Wednesday, September 18th at 1:30pm at the MN Landscape Arboretum, where her memory will be honored with stories, laughter and the kind of compassion she showed the world.
Rest in peace dear Cheryl, your body and may now rest, but you will be in our hearts forever.
