Cheryl Louise (Reigel) Volpert, 77, of Seymour passed away at Schneck Medical Center on March 5, 2025. Cheryl was born on May 24, 1947, in Louisville, KY to George and Dorothy (Wagner) Reigel. She attended Indiana University Southeast where she met her husband, John. Cheryl had worked at Jeffersonville High School prior to her retirement. In her free time, she loved to do arts and crafts, going to the casino but truly loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, John Volpert; son, Bryan (Kelli) Volpert; daughter, Leanne (Wayne) Woodard; sister, Pamela (Bernie) Glotzbach; grandchildren: Aaron (Arizona) Volpert, Austin (Joe) Barker; Aidan Volpert, Alec Volpert; Emma Woodard and Lane Woodard; great grandson, Jack Barker. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandchild, Delaney, brother, Stanley Reigel and sister, Betty Hall.
Cheryl's family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Voss & Sons Funeral and Cremation Service, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour, IN. At 6:00 PM, the time of sharing will begin. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the family for future college expenses for Cheryl's grandchildren.
