Chester J. Scott, Jr.
"Chet" "Jim" "Jimmy" "Scott" "Chetter"
Chester J. Scott, Jr., age 73, of Robinson Township, formerly of Elliot and Sheraden, passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2025.
Born on November 12, 1951, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the beloved son of the late Leah McKerahan and Chester Scott, Sr. He was the extremely devoted husband of Karen Scott for 48 wonderful years; loving father of James "Jim" (Lisa) Scott and Karen Scott; cherished grandfather of Brianna, Cheyenne, Donny, Camryn, Cienna, Madison, and Elijah; and proud dog dad to his beloved puppy, Sadie Rose Scott.
Chet was preceded in death by his siblings Bunny Pavlinovic, Russell Scott, Theresa Scott, Joe Scott, and Kikki Scott, and is survived by many nieces and nephews who adored him.
Chet is a very proud United States Marine Vietnam veteran. As a young man, he along with a circle of friends enlisted to serve our country. He was a man who did not ask for much in gifts at holidays and his birthday, but you could never go wrong with gifting him a Marine anything. He always said and felt "Once a Marine, Always a Marine". Chet made lifelong friends throughout his years, and his social circle was huge which included many familly members, friends and neighbors. People that would meet him would immediately feel his warmth and laid back attitude. He was always willling to offer and provide help when needed. Friends from his past employment of roofing, Kosmos Cement on Neville Island, and Costco in Robinson Township, continued to be in his life. He had a deep love for the outdoors-hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature. He would sit on his back porch throughout the year and watch the deer and squirrels outside. He was so proud of his home and made sure it was always kept up with any needed updates or remodeling. He continued caring for his yard every year with maintaining his beautiful lawn along with various planted flowers and shrubs. He enjoyed watching sports, particularly cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins.
Above all, Chet was a family man. His family was his pride and joy and always made them feel safe and secure by his protective nature. He was a light in their lives with his generous heart, humor, and friendship to all who knew him. By the life he lead, he has provided them all with a strong sense of values and standards that will help guide them throughout their lives. His love for his family, animals, his giving nature, and his unwavering devotion to those he loved will be remembered forever.
Chet was truly loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Friends and family will be received on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 2-7 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136.
