June 5, 1923 – January 18, 2024
Chester Wloch, age 100 of Ida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at his home under hospice care.
Born June 5, 1923, in Detroit, MI. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Wloch. After school, Chester worked at Ford Motor Company as a Die Cast Setter for many years before retiring. He was always a hard worker up till his last days.
Chester met and married the love of his life: Alice Falkenberg on January 22, 1949, at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. They spent over 69 wonderful years together before Alice sadly passed away in 2018.
Chester was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially the kids. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Beloved father of Connie (Tom) Owens. Loving grandfather of Kari Szymanski, Eric Miller, Tommy Owens II, and Jae Langley. Great grandfather of seven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by wife: Alice Wloch; daughter: Mary Miller; grandson: Joseph Owens; and sister: Lillian Sasfy.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home from 2 to 7 pm. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. Chester will lie instate at 10 am with service starting at 11 am. Officiating is Pastor Lee Cullen. Burial will follow to Gethsemane Cemetery.
