Chet Loar Obituary
Chet found his life partner and married Mandy Hillman in September of 2005. Together they had two beautiful children and shared many years filled with love and cherished memories. He was employed at Master Electric where he dedicated many years as a Safety Director. Chet had a passion for hunting. In his free time, he enjoyed watching sports and loved everything about the great outdoors. He could often be found in the gym or on the baseball fields, cheering on his kids, or in the woods chasing down turkeys.
He is survived by the love of his life: Mandy Loar; children: Caiden and Reagan Loar; exchange son: Pau Chesa; parents: Michael Loar (Lori Sherlock) and Debbie Shaffer; sister: Stephanie (Josh) Armstrong; nieces: Jenna, Isabella, Keira; nephews: Brady and Brendan.
Chet is preceded in death by his stepfather: Dan Shaffer; sister: Jenny Loar: and grandparents: Leon and Shirley Mavis and Leo and Bernadine Loar.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 11:30 A.M. at the Beaverton Activity Center. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com

Hunted Turkeys with Chet! He was the best at knowing where the birds were and worked hard to get your bird! He would make sure we were early in the woods in the dark! Sometimes might have to belly crawl to get into position to intercept the birds! Enjoyed every minute of our hunts with him! We were at the Deer Turkey Expo many years ago talking with Fred & Greg Abbas and they said Chet was the best in Michigan for guiding turkey hunts! That started our hunting with him! Going to miss him! Deepest condolences for his wife, children, and entire family! Mark Vergiels
