With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of their beloved mother and grandmother, Chris Darst, on November 14, 2025. She was 74.
Chris was born on July 14, 1951, in Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated from Paschal High School. From the very beginning, she lived life with a brightness and joy that drew people in. She was kind, incredibly generous, full of life and fun, and so naturally beautiful - inside and out.
Chris was preceded in death by the love of her life, Larry Darst. They shared a true, enduring love story - the kind people talk about. She passed not even seven months after Larry, which feels fitting for a love as deep and inseparable as theirs. It brings comfort to her family knowing they are together again.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Jackie Harris, and Jackie’s husband, Tim; and by her adored grandson, Alexander Secoy. Chris was incredibly proud of her family; she bragged about them every chance she got. Her pride and her love for them were constant, steady, and unmistakable.
Chris embraced life fully. She loved travel, sports, spending time with her family, finding fun in every moment, and creating memories that they will cherish forever. Her warmth, her laughter, and her generosity touched everyone who knew her.
