Christina Moore 1986-2025

Christina Elizabeth Moore, age 39, of Oklahoma City, OK, died following a long battle with Melanoma Cancer on 8/28/2025.

She was born in Jacksonville, NC, on April 23, 1986, to Terry Moore and Jeanna Berry Moore. Her family moved back to Oklahoma in 1987. Christina was always able to talk to anyone from a very young age and was not afraid to speak her mind. She was a very kind person and genuinely cared for others. She was the kind of person who wanted to build people up, encourage them, and help them succeed. She was always smiling and had an infectious laugh. Her love of music and singing were some of her favorite pastimes growing up. She started taking piano lessons at a young age and continued on through high school. Christina attended Schwartz Elementary school, Carl Albert Jr. High School and High School, where she loved to sing and being involved in the music programs, before studying business at UCO. During her college days she worked at Java Daves coffee shop and Starbucks coffee shops, then after a brief stint working in retail clothing, she became a paralegal. She really enjoyed being a paralegal and doing the research and everything that was involved with her job. She became great friends with some of the attorneys and co-workers she worked with over the years.

Christina was a pet lover; she loved both dogs and cats alike. She spoiled her fur babies with special clothes, toys, treats and food. They were among her most treasured family members. She gave special instructions on how many hugs per day, required play time, and cuddle nap time were required for them, if they were in your care.

Everyone who knew Christina knew how much she loved gardening and being with nature. She developed this passion from her Nene and PaPa. She loved everything from the planning of her garden and flower beds to the planting and caring for them. She was working on getting her yard set up as a monarch waystation/habitat when the cancer treatments made it impossible for her to be out in the sunshine due to adverse reactions. She had a very green thumb inside and outside, as can be seen by all the house plants she has throughout her home.

Roadtrips were one of Christina’s favorite adventurous things to do; she loved going to various state and national parks throughout the US. Her favorite state to visit was Colorado. Her dream was to move there one day and open a bed and breakfast. She loved collecting rocks and crystals and started this at a very, very young age. She has a massive rock and crystal collection that she took a lot of pride in. She has always loved anything sparkly and shiny , which started with her rock and crystal collecting and spread to other things that sparkled and shone.

We will miss seeing Christina’s beautiful smile, bright eyes, and enjoying her great sense of humor, and hearing her infectious laugh. She fought a very courageous, long, and hard battle with Melanoma. She was always willing to try different forms of treatment available to beat the cancer, and through it all, she intended to win the war, even to the very end. After exhausting all options here, she started traveling to MD Anderson in Houston for treatments they had available for her down there. After her last very intensive and invasive treatment, we found out the cancer had mutated again and attacked her aggressively. Unfortunately, the treatment had left her extremely weak and without an immune system. She stayed strong and fought to the very end. We are so proud of her for all the things she has done, including the way she fought and never gave up. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Christina is preceded in death by her brother Terrance Moore, PaPa- Kenneth Berry, NeNe- Imogene Berry, PaPa- Dale Moore, and Nana- Neketa Moore. She is survived by her parents Terry Moore and Jeanna Berry Moore and her sister Therese Moore.

Christina’s Celebration of Life service will be on September 6th, at Will Rogers Park in the Conservatory at 10:00 AM.
