Christine Rath Cook

Christine Rath Cook passed away on August 24th, 2022, at the age of 55. She is survived by her three children; Abigail, John, and Grace; her mother; Joann Rath, her two brothers with their respective families; Ted (wife Sally) and David (wife Sheri) Rath; and her long-term partner; William Stephenitch. She is predeceased by her father; Robert Rath; and her Godparents; Clara and George Beoglos.
Christine was born in Canton, Ohio on February 7th, 1967, to Joann and Robert Rath. She graduated from the Ohio State University in 1988 with a degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse for over 20 years. In 1995, 1997 and 1999 she welcomed her two daughters and one son, who were the most important part of her life.
Christine loved and cared deeply for everyone around her. She loved to cook and was amazing at it. She was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. She was also devoted to her faith; Christine was strongly rooted in the Greek Orthodox community throughout her lifetime.
Friends and family will be welcomed from 9:30am-11:00am with a funeral to follow on Tuesday, August 30th at Rutherford Funeral Homes in Powell, Ohio. Father Dimitri will officiate. Flowers and condolences may be offered at 725 Cardinal Hill Lane, Powell, OH 43065.
