Christine Findlay Obituary

Christine (Chris) Findlay of Tinton Falls, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025 at the age of 77. Christine was predeceased in death by her parents, Mary R. Findlay (nee Trube) and George Y Findlay. She is survived by her sister Barbara Wolkiewicz, her brothers Gary Findlay (Beverly), John Findlay (Jeannette), nine nieces and nephews and three great nieces.

Chris was born on October 1, 1947 in NY and lived in Long Island and New York City before settling in Monmouth County, New Jersey in the early 70s. She lived her life on her own terms; a true free spirit whose entrepreneurial drive led her to build and operate a successful photography business. In later years, she brought that same determination to her work in real estate. She was happiest on the water, and enjoyed sailing whenever she had the chance.

As the family historian, Chris was the keeper of our stories and memories. Through her photographs and gift for remembering the smallest details, she preserved our history and ensured we never forgot where we came from. Strong willed and determined, she stood her ground and never allowed herself to be taken advantage of. She will be remembered for the way she lived authentically, with courage and independence and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 4PM to 7PM at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Chris to the American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org/ways-to-give/memorial-gift.
